A Girl About Style: La Prairie Breakfast Presentation

Yesterday I made my way down the Magnificent Mile to Neiman Marcus' Zodiac Lounge. I was invited to a breakfast presentation and product launch by La Prairie.

The new Skin Caviar Liquid Lift was the main attraction and reason for the gathering. I jotted down a few notes during the presentation:

• This is the 25th Anniversary of the infamous Skin Caviar.
• La Prairie was the first beauty company to create and launch an eye serum.
• La Prairie was the first beauty company to use caviar in a product.
• Skin Caviar Liquid Lift combines the infamous golden caviar pearls with the newest formulation & technologies to truly deliver an instant lift to skin.
• Skin Caviar Liquid Lift is a daily must-have for anyone concerned with lines and wrinkles.

La Prairie is the ultimate in luxury skin care so I knew I was in for a fabulous experience. I snapped a few pictures before the event began.

During the presentation, a few of the brand's best sellers were passed around for us to sample. The Skin Caviar Luxe Cream melted into the back of my hand and the scent was divine. Seeing the Skin Caviar up close really confirmed for me that La Prairie is not the skin care line that one occasionally purchases from time to time. This luxury collection of decadent creams and silky serums are skin care investments.

As you can see Skin Caviar Liquid Lift is housed in the traditional royal blue and silver packaging and retails for $500 (skin. care. investment.) for 1.7 fluid ounces.

There are three distinct formulas are housed in two separate inner and outer chambers of the container. At the moment of activation, golden caviar pearls suspended in an anti-wrinkle peptide solution merge with the epidermal recovery complex released from an inner chamber. The balanced blending of all precious ingredients occurs in that first moment; upon applying to skin, a

silken veil of lift and rejuvenation envelopes the skin, and the essence of lifting begins. Even though I'm not worried about fine lines and wrinkles yet, I'm all about taking preventative steps to slow down the aging process. Turning forty is not too far off for yours truly and I have no intentions of ever looking my age... if I can help it ;-)
