Allow Me To Introduce Myself...

I realized that I jumped right into my blog without a proper introduction post. I read my fair share of blogs so I know the importance of knowing a little about the person behind the screen.

Lapsed blogger finding her way back.

I think I summed myself up quite well in 160 characters, especially that last line. It's true, I'm a lapsed blogger finding her way back. I had another blog that I maintained during some of the darkest times in my life. I just could not go back to that space so I found a new blog home.

For a while, blogging became an annoying obligation and not the fun creative outlet I intended it for. I dreaded checking my email and the stack of unopened product samples had become out of control. It was all so overwhelming. I had to figure out blog life for myself and set some boundaries if I ever decided to blog again.

Bloggers are invited to lots of events, many of which take place in the evenings. Working five days a week and going to events afterwards does not appeal to me. This time around, I will only attend two to three events a month and they will only be events I consider can't miss, must attend events. I am definitely not one who accepts every invitation I receive. We all know the types of people who show up at the opening of an envelope. I choose to be more selective with my time and truthfully, I prefer smaller intimate gatherings as opposed to large scale events. Actually I prefer being at home, it's the INFJ in me, but I'll save that story for another post.

So I'm back to blogging and I'm doing it my way - posting when and what I want. I'm Kim, A Girl About Style. Fashion is my best friend, sarcasm is my specialty, and shopping is the only sport I like.
